Many of the proprietary assays used by HemoGenix® are sold as assay kits by its sister company Preferred Cell Systems™. These include the in vitro toxicity assays as well as assays for cellular therapy, immunotherapy and regenerative medicine.

This allows our customers to use exactly the same reagents as HemoGenix® would use for its contract research services.

Assays-in-a-Box™ are usually complete assay kit containing everything you need to perform the assay, including culture reagents, standards and controls, signal detection reagents, even 96- or, upon request, 384-well plates. Cells are not included with the assay kits.

Often companies will perform a validation study with HemoGenix® and will want to perform the assays in-house. This is where Preferred Cell Systems™comes into play since they will help you establish the assays in-house. All assay kits are available in 2- or 4-plate kits as well as bulk kits. It is also possible to license the assays.

The following assay kits are available from Preferred Cell Systems™ for cellular therapy, immunotherapy and regenerative medicine product quality controls and potency testing

Hematopoietic Cellular Therapy Testing

All of the following assays include everything required to standardized and validate the assays in-house, although validation has been performed and validation parameters provided in the instruction manual. All assays include measurement assurance parameters, thereby incoporating proficiency testing.

  • STEMpredict™: A 3-day progenitor cell quality assay to triage high from low cell therapy products prior to cryopreservation.
  • HALO® QC: A 5-day quality control assay for hematopoietic progenitor cells to ensure cell processing procedures are optimized.
  • HALO® RS: Used to establish bone marrow, cord blood or peripheral blood reference standards (RS) for potency testing using HALO® SC-IPS.
  • HALO® SC-IPS: A Stem Cell Identity, Purity and Strength (Potency) assay designed to comply with FDA Potency Assay Guidelines.
  • HALO™ TE: A Time to Engraftment assay to determine erythroid, myeloid and platelet engraftment after transplantation.
  • HALO® PMT: An assay platform to monitor long-term engraftment of the hematopoietic and immunopoietic systems.

Immunotherapy Testing

  • ImmunoGLO™: An ATP bioluminescence assay with optional standardization available for mixed lymphocyte reactions as well as specific assays for T-cells and B-cells.
  • ImmunoFLUOR™: A fluorescence assay platform available for mixed lymphocyte reactions as well as specific assays for T-cells and B-cells with excellent capability for flow cytometry.
  • ImmunoLIGHT™: An absorbance assay platform available for mixed lymphocyte reactions as well as specific assays for T-cells and B-cells with excellent capability for flow cytometry.

Regenerative Medicine

MSCGlo™ QC: A standardized and validated quality control assay platform for mesenchymal cells to ensure cell processing procedures are optimized.

MSCGlo™ SC-IPS: A standardized and validated mesenchymal cell potency assay.
